Kirstu

Kirstu is a multi-functional piece of furniture designed for Marimekko. Serving as a storage chest, it can not only contain all sorts of objects, but it can also be stacked away when it is not in use. The lid also doubles as a tray and features the classic Marhaba pattern, a well known Marimekko pattern. Made out of rigid, lightweight polyester felt, Kirstu creates a tactile, textile-like feel fitting for Marimekko. In addition, since the polyester is derived from recycled fiber, Kirstu is a sustainable product with very little waste.
