Rosebud Scarlett Batman Jim&Jules

The Scarlett, Rosebud and Batman Chairs were designed as a series for the Finnish Furniture company Vivero.

The Scarlett chair can be produced uncovered, seat only covered or fully covered. Its lightness enables it to be easily stackable meaning it is highly practical for conference rooms and public spaces. Furthermore its ability to adjust with any movements in the body makes it comfortable for long periods.

The Rosebud chair has a light metal structure which together with the shape of the seat create a flower-like impression. Designed as a small armchair it can be utilised in a number of environments including lobbies, lounge areas and conference rooms.

The Batman Chair consists of a formpressed seat and back created like a piece of origami and offers a snug nesting place in which to sit. Furthermore the backrest offers a certain degree of malleability meaning that it is able to flex slightly with movements of the body. It offers an elegant solution to seating in a variety of environments.

Jim and Jules represent different characters, with their own qualities that compete for the users attention. However, they are also close relatives that share common parts and a consistent form. Jules is an easy chair for lobbies and reception areas as well as for relaxation. The asymmetrical design inspirits to sit relaxed in various positions. Jim is a vigorous conference and lobby chair which construction enables a comfortable, protected and very steady seating.
